Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has appointed his sacked Commissioner for Works, Muazu Magaji, as Chairman of the NNPC- AKK Pipeline Project Delivery and Kano State Industrialisation Committee.
Recall that on April 18, Mr Magaji had taken to his Facebook page to express his happiness over the death of the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari, saying the country was now free.
Subsequently, Mr Ganduje sacked Mr Magaji.
Mr Magaji’s appointment was contained in a letter signed on Thursday by the Permanent Secretary, Research, Evaluation and Political Affairs Directorate, Office of the Secretary to the Kano State Government, Bilikisu Maimota.
Rejoicing over his appointment, a leader of Mr Magaji’s support team, Auwal Nasidi, extended their gratitude to Mr Ganduje for finding the former commissioner, “worthy of such important task that require capable hands and we do hope this opportunity would better be served”.
“It is indeed a great honour and opportunity to serve Kano for the second time under the leadership of his Excellency Dr. A. U. Ganduje, also another chance to contribute from your wealth of experience to make Kano – Nigeria great again.
“From all of us in Team Muaz Magaji We wish to extend our gratefulness to His Excellency for finding you worthy of such important task that require capable hands and we do hope this opportunity would better be served.”
