A midnight inferno has claimed 3 souls and burnt down several houses in Tudun Wadan Pantami under the Gombe area of Gombe State.
Sources who spoke to Daily Episode said that the inferno was caused by a power outage after high voltage around 1am in the midnight.
“The fire destroyed several houses and injured many people, including a permanent secretary in the state civil service and a lance corporal in the Nigerian air force who was on pass.
Daily Episode could not ascertain the identities of the victims as of press time.
It was further gathered that a team of police officers was subsequently deployed to the scene, where the corpses were recovered and deposited at specialist hospital Gombe.
“The injured victims were rushed to Federal Teaching Hospital Gombe for treatment.
The state fire service was also called in and successfully put out the fire.
