A Kaduna-based business mogul, Tobi Bernard Thomas, has congratulated Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna state and the former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani, over the national honour conferred on them by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He said that the honours of Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) conferred on the duo were not suprising looking at their antecedents and their dedication and commitment to national development.
According to him, the honour has rightfully earned Kaduna State a place of high regard and esteem in the national history.
Mr Thomas, in a statement issued on Friday, described both the Uba Sani and Shehu Sani as key figures who played instrumental roles in Nigeria’s return to democratic rule.
In his statement titled: “to whom honor deserves to be given, he further said that the awards are testament to the sacrifices and resilience of the Kaduna sons; Uba Sani, Shehu Sani and late Balarebe Musa who stood against military dictatorship and championed democratic ideals.
“No doubt, these patriots stood firm when it mattered most. Their courage helped shape the democratic foundation we stand on today.
This well-merited recognition is a testament of the Sanis’ unwavering commitment to the principles of democracy, justice, and national development. Their passion for good governance, inclusiveness, and progress has not only elevated the socio-economic standards of the people of Kaduna State but has also positioned the state as a model of progressive leadership”, Thomas emphasized.
