As the 2023 general election approaches, the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) has disclosed its readiness to retain power across the federation.
This was disclosed by the party’s northwest zonal secretary, Salisu Uba Tsafe, while addressing journalists in Kaduna on Friday.
According to him, the party is aware that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has concluded the contentious voter registrations, which recorded 70% of Nigerian youth as the majority.
Therefore, as a party that touches the lives of Nigerians positively, especially the youth and women, we are confident they will effectively vote for the desired candidate presented by our party. He noted
Although it is not time for a campaign, I am optimistic that we have taken measures to sensitize the youths, women, and all eligible voters on why APC needs to retain power in the forthcoming elections.
However, we have challenges and task ourselves with addressing the identified challenges within our party, especially in the northwest where many disputes have been resolved since we started the peace and dialogue missions.
Therefore, I will use this medium to plead and preach unity from both members, stakeholders, and the party leadership so that we can be victorious in the 2023 general elections. He added
