The Islamic group of Taliban in Afghanistan has on Sunday claim a victory to sweeps all forces and cities of Afganistan while pushing to process a peaceful transfer of power.
The group has taken control of Jalalabad without bloodshed early Sunday this is coming after the Taliban capture Mazar-i-Sharif, a major northern city.
According to a resident told AFP news agency that, they woke up this morning to see the Taliban white flags all over the city,”
Although the armed group posted photos online on Sunday showing its members in the governor’s office in Jalalabad.
It can be recalled the armed groups started taking control after the US-led Forces withdrawn from the country giving the Taliban speed victory to capture Kandahar and Herat before coming to this level of taking over the affairs of the country.
Aljazeera report shows two influential militia leaders supporting the government – Atta Mohammad Noor and Abdul Rashid Dostum – also fled. Noor said on social media that a “conspiracy” had given the Taliban control of Balkh province, where Mazar-i-Sharif is located
However, the Taliban’s militants surrounded Kabul City and Ordered its forces not to enter the city, a spokesman for the Taliban tweeted as residents reported insurgents on the outskirts of the city.
The Afghan government has started negotiations to avoid bloodshed in Kabul and to give the Taliban control.
This may likely give the Taliban victory as the first Islamic militant group to take over from the government after two decades of the fight.
