The leadership of various groups of physically disabled people stormed Kaduna in a solidarity match to support the candidacy of a physically disabled woman, Lois Auta.
The Honorable Lios Auta, who addressed journalists at a press briefing organized by NAPWPD, declared her intention to represent the good people of the Kaura constituency in the 2023 general election.
According to her, equality, equity and fair play by the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) resulted in giving her hope to aspire to represent the good people of Kaura at the Kaduna state house of assembly.
If I emerge the winner, I will explore my international contacts and global network to bridge noticeable developmental gaps in Kura constituency while both the disabled community and the community of women and girls will be proud to have a voice in decision making as a state legislator towards addressing their challenges.
With my campaign slogan “Equal Agenda,” you will understand how passionate I am about social justice, equal rights, promoting peaceful coexistence, and dedication to serving people selflessly. She added.
It will be recalled that persons with disabilities had long agitated for inclusion in the country’s leadership until Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari signed the Disability Act 2018.
However, the National President of Persons with Physical Disability (NAPWPD), Comrade Rilwan Muhammad, appeals to the people of Kaura and delegates of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to support and vote for Mrs. Lois Auta for transparent leadership.
We all know how expensive politics can be. We may not be able to afford to buy the delegate’s mandate, but we have faith in the delegate who genuinely cares about the Kaura constituency. They can do the needful in supporting the candidacy of a physically disabled woman, Lios Auta.
Rilwanu is optimistic that only Mrs. Auta can deliver the seat for APC as most women, the disability community, and the general public will support her candidacy.
He also called on members to pray for the success of their members, as God answers the prayers of the vulnerable. He added.
