District Head commends Katsina journalists.
Journalists in Katsina state have been commended for their role in educating, enlightening and entertainin seeg the public.
The Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare Alhai Usman Bello Kankara gave the commendation when the Nigeria Union of Journalist Katsina State Radio chapel paid him an iftar visit in his palace.
The monarch commended the efforts of the management and staff of Katsina state radio for promoting peace and unity through developmental journalism across the state.
He added that the Katsina State Radio has a wider coverage that cut across Kano Zamfara, Kaduna and neighboring Niger Republic.
Kankara use the occasion to call for continued prayers for peace and security especially during the last ten days of the Holy month of Ramadan.
Earlier the chairman of the Katsina State Radio Chapel of the NUJ Khalid Alhafez said they were in the palace of the monarch to pay homage on the blessed month of Ramadan and seek royal blessing.
He commended the continued support and contribution of the royal father to the development and welfare of journalist in the state.
During the visit special prayers were offers for the return of peace and security in the troubled parts of the state and the country at large.
