Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State has handed over 200 operational vehicles procured by his administration to support the operation of the security agencies in the state.
The Special Adviser to the governor on Media and Communications, Zailani Bappa, in a statement, said the beneficiaries of the vehicles included the Nigerian Army, Police, SSS, NSCDC, Customs, Immigration, Correctional Center and the FRSC.
The statement quoted the governor as reiterating his administration’s renewed war on banditry, citing the carrot and stick approach policy of his administration as a guaranteed means of ending the menace.
According to him, apart from the vehicles donated today, Mr Matawalle’s administration had instituted a monthly interface with the security operatives, provided them with decent office and house accommodations, and silent falcon drones and other operational gadgets.

He said the President has listened to him all the time and has positively responded to all his requests with the latest sending of two Police squadrons to the state and 780 men to tackle the bandits in flash areas of the state.
