It will be recalled that the Kaduna council recently upgraded its secretariat with a befitting edifice sporting center, which was launched and commissioned by Chris Nsuguzo, the national president of the union of journalists.
However, the council chairman, Asma’u Halilu, reaffirmed the need for members to participate, as she enjoyed the members’ support of the council against all odds.
Sports unite every society, and the unity and celebration I see in members during and after the road walk today is a thing of joy.
Therefore, I encourage a massive turnout of members so that we can celebrate the outcomes of this competition when the winners emerge. She added
While the council secretary, Gambo Santors, also noted that the council’s “Inter-Chapel Indoor Games” is one of the best activities that has happened to the council in the last 10 years.
According to him, sport brings unity of purpose, where people forget their differences to work unanimously towards achieving a common goal.
Therefore, I will encourage members to embrace sporting activities even after these inter-chapel indoor games, to stay fit and maintain unity with one another.
