The Nigerian government has been on the desk and worried over the increase in insecurity which has resulted in killings, kidnappings, cattle rustling, and rubbery, and displacement of innocent commuters and villagers around the country.
Several security agencies, especially the armed forces, have been the driving force in fighting the terrorists from Boko-Haram, armed bandits, and the separatists from the southeast, The Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), who are disguised as Easter Security Network (ESN) or unknown gunmen.
Therefore, in a bid to curtail the rising insecurity bedeviling the country, the Nigerian army has conducted special training for its troops, the training which aims to end the atrocities committed against innocent people by both terrorist groups of armed bandits, Boko-Haram and other criminal elements across the Nigerian States.
The troops who were trained under exercise “Restore Hope 2” have shown significant commitment towards achieving the purpose.
However, the army chief, Major Gen. Faruk Yahaya, commended the troops for their quick adoption and readiness to restore peace and stability in the country.
According to him, the military is aware of the challenge of insecurity in the country, so the troops are expected to be the answer to the criminals who call themselves bandits, kidnappers, or terrorists. Therefore, we expect you to apply what you learn here on the battlefield so as to send them to God and pay for their sins.
I have confidence in your performance here, and I am sure you will be well equipped to do the needful, as you have been doing before.
We all know that training is the best welfare, we can give to our troops, so with the exercise we did today, we have built confidence in us that our troops are determined and will end the challenge of insecurity within a short period of time.
Therefore, I expect the participants of “Exercise Restore Hope 2” to be more focused and perform better than their predecessors of “Exercise Restore Hope 1” when deployed. He added
