The deadly Boko-Haram allies, the Ansaru terrorist group, have been reportedly clashing with armed bandits in Kaduna, Northwest Nigeria.
Ansaru and the armed bandits who were reportedly relocated from different locations in the Zamfara forest following the military raids and network blockage by the Federal Ministry of Communications
The Ansaru terrorist group, which considers itself superior to the armed bandits, has established some ground rules and protocols, including a prohibition on kidnappings and attacks on villages within the territory.
Last week, the two groups engaged in a battle for supremacy, according to a report in the Daily Trust Newspaper. The bandits hoped to succeed in their ongoing attacks on commuters and kidnappings, which have been prohibited by the Ansaru.
The clashes took place near Damari village in Kaduna State’s Birnin Gwari Local Government Area.
During the clashes, scores of terrorists from both groups, numbering around 30, were killed.
This comes a week after the Kaduna state government shut down the telephone network and banned the sale of PMS in jerricans as well as commercial and personal motorcycles in the affected local governments.
However, the Kaduna State Police Command has yet to confirm this to Daily Episode because Muhammed Jalinge, the PPRO line, was not reachable while compiling this report.
