Comrade Otunba Eniola Tope, Vice President (National) of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), has urged Nigeria’s teeming youth to arm themselves with PVC as the 2023 general elections approach.
Otunba Eniola criticized the apathy of some youths toward elections in Nigeria, which has resulted in low voter turnout throughout elections, in a press release made available to the media on Monday. During the 2023 general elections, he promised to launch a nationwide drive to remove bad lawmakers. “, he explained.
“The youth of Nigeria is the country’s strength and hope. Depending on our choices, our demographic strength can either make or break our country. Regardless of the odds, I am confident that the bulk of Nigerian youth holds this country dear to their hearts.
“As the 2023 general election approaches, I urge every patriotic youth in this country to arm themselves with PVC, which provides us the power to elect trustworthy leaders. We can’t be apathetic regarding elections while yet criticizing some politicians’ poor leadership. We won’t be able to eat our cake and get it back. As a result, if we want a better Nigeria, we must fully participate in electoral processes.
“All bad and self-centered politicians must be voted out of office in 2023. All crooked politicians who misuse public funds, as well as those who incite people to fight one another, must not be allowed to smell the corridors of power in 2023. During elections, we have the demographic ability to determine who wins and who loses. We can only use this ability, though, if we have our PVC.
On this point, my office, as Vice President (National) of Nigeria’s largest youth organization, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), will launch “Operation Show Your PVC,” a statewide sensitization campaign. It is a patriotic mission aimed at motivating our burgeoning youth to obtain a PVC so that we can rid our country of selfish and unpatriotic politicians during the 2023 elections.
“I implore all well-intentioned Nigerian youths to safeguard their PVC and never trade it for anything on this planet. It is past time for us to end money politics and self-centered politics in Nigeria and replace them with meritocracy politics. It’s now or never!”
