Kaduna, Northwestern Nigeria: The Kaduna state governorship candidate of the People’s Redeeming Party (PRP), Malam Hayatu Lawal Makarfi, called on Nigerians on Monday, January 30, 2023, to vote for leaders who can deliver the deserved leadership that every citizen demands.
Hayatu made the call in his campaign office while delivering a speech after a group of supporters visited to support his candidacy and mission to drive Kaduna state to a promising land.
According to him, now is the time to act to save our future and the upcoming generation. Nigeria has been misruled by some selfish leaders who’ve driven the country in the wrong direction, and only voting for credible leaders can act to change the current situation.
Corruption has consumed every sector of the country, especially since the children of citizens hardly enjoy a sound education or opportunities to get a job or sustain a business.
Insecurity has today displaced many citizens; businesses have also crashed, and thousands of infrastructures have been abandoned in those communities. He said
But when citizens shun money or political parties, credible leaders will emerge to make everything work in their favor.
In Kaduna, much has been done, both good and bad, but we have seen what is needed in Kaduna: traders are crying, civil servants are crying, and loans have been obtained for some infrastructural development that may not generate revenue for the state. He continued
In my aspiration, we are focused on creating wealth by investing in every sector. Kaduna is blessed with a lot of natural resources, and we will ensure every citizen enjoys the Kaduna they deserve.
We are delivering a united government. Kaduna of today is divided, but from my deputy, you will understand the synergy and inclusion. Every citizen will have equal rights and equal treatment if we emerge.
Therefore, I call on Kaduna citizens to ensure they obtain their permanent voter cards and turn out in mass to elect leaders with a zeal to lead, not to loot.
However, I urged every citizen, especially you who are present here today, to enlighten our teaming youth to shun political thuggery, politics of bitterness, or politics based on religion or ethnicity.
We should focus on our demands and trying times; voting is better than complaining, therefore, we should utilise our time and vote in our favor, especially now that we understand some leaders are only campaigning for their selfish interests. He added
