President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Makurdi, the Benue capital, over the killing of over 150 residents of Yelwata and to visit the horrific scene of the Yelwata community under the Guma area of the state.
Tinubu arrived at the Makurdi Airport, located at the Tactical Air Command, Nigerian Air Force Base, Makurdi, at about 12:58 pm.
The President is expected to meet with major stakeholders in the state given the violent attacks that have led to the loss of lives.
The state government declared a public holiday for the visit.
