Wizkid Wins MTV EMA’s Best African Act Award
Wizkid, the king of hip-hop music, was named Best African Act at the 2021 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA), which took place on Sunday.
Wizkid was nominated alongside Tems, his “Essence” co-singer, as well as Diamond Platnumz, Amaarae, and Focalistic.
Wizkid has been trending in the music industry since he releases a new album titled made in Lagos (MIL) and may be among the reason he Wizkid Won MTV EMA’s Best African Act Award
Essence, a smash tune from Wizkid’s ‘Made In Lagos’ album, is widely regarded as one of the world’s top songs in 2021.
Wizkid has received seven nominations for the award and has won three of them.
Wizkid has now become the most decorated African act at the MTV EMAs, having previously won Best African Act and Best Worldwide Act in 2016.
