As Muslims in the country joined their counterparts across the world in commemorating the annual holy month of Ramadan, the Kaduna state council of NUJ has charged the Muslim faithful to use the period in seeking Allah’s blessings and divine intervention towards the restoration of peace and unity of purpose in the state and the country.
A statement issued by the Council Secretary, Gambo Santos Sanga, and signed by the chairman, Asma’u Yawo Halilu, also called on the Muslim Ummah to use the occasion for sober reflection.
The statement also admonished the Muslim faithful to pray for Allah’s mercies, provisions, and protection, as well as to heal the country from its current security challenges.
The Council also enjoined Muslims and non-Muslims alike to close ranks and live in peace and harmony for the socioeconomic and political well-being of the country.
The Kaduna state council of NUJ further expressed optimism that Kaduna state and indeed Nigeria would survive the numerous challenges bedeviling the nation, stressing that every challenge is surmountable.
The Council prayed to Allah to accept the spiritual rejuvenation of all Muslims and grant Nigeria a peaceful Ramadan period as well as a peaceful transition come 2023.
