The Rigasa Action and Awareness Forum (RAAF) has commended the passage of the bill for the establishment of an orthopaedic hospital in Rigasa, Kaduna State.
The bill, sponsored by Hon. Hussain Jalo, successfully passed its second reading at the National Assembly, marking a significant step toward improving access to specialised healthcare in northwestern Nigeria.
According to RAAF, the proposed hospital will address the growing need for advanced medical care, particularly in the treatment of bone fractures, musculoskeletal conditions, and physical disabilities, and it will also reduce the burden on residents who currently travel long distances to access orthopaedic services.
The forum expressed gratitude to the member for his commitment to the community and charged other public office holders to deliver on their campaigns and saddle responsibility in their respective offices.
Beyond political office holders, we urged all stakeholders to monitor, track and contribute to the project’s actualisation beyond paperwork.
However, we prayed for Allah’s guidance and wisdom for leaders as they continue to serve the people of Rigasa and Kaduna State with sincerity and dedication, the statements added.
