Ahead of the Champions League clash next week, Barcelona, the Spanish giant football club, has announced that its midfielder, Pedri, will miss the match against Chelsea Football Club.
In a statement by Diario AS, as shared by sport analyst Fabrizio Romano, the player has been ruled out for more than a month due to an injury.
The Spanish international, who recently returned from injury, has suffered another setback, a situation which may not favour either the player, the supporters or the club.
Although the Barcelona medical team had earlier claimed that the player is recovering fast, a situation that may calm the club supporters who have been rooting for the return of the player.
However, it will be recalled that Barcelona had been defeated in a clash between the Spanish giants, Real Madrid, in an El Clásico derby, making Real Madrid maintain a lead at the table amidst Barcelona’s loss of three points.
