As the Russian-Ukraine war escalates with an increase in refugees and migrants, reports coming from Italy reveal how a bus conveying Ukrainian refugees accidentally fell on a highway in northern Italy, leaving one person dead while others sustained severe injuries.
Per Italian State TV, an additional five people were also injured, but only one serious case has so far been accounted for, in the accident that occurred in Autostrada near Forli, a town located in Northeastern Italy.
Daily Episode gathered from multiple reports that no fewer than 35,000 Ukrainian refugees fled their comfortable homes to Italy through the northeastern border with Slovenia since the Russians began inversion and bombardment in Ukraine.
According to the Italian Interior Minister, the bus had departed Ukraine and was traveling south to Pescara, an Adriatic port city, when it flipped. However, the passengers were brought to a neighboring police barracks for emergency treatment before continuing their journey.
Firefighters were seen using two cranes to lift the bus to its standing position as the police authorities have since begun investigating the causes of the incident.
