Coalition of Concerned Citizens of Kaduna State consisting of youths, women and elderly converged in large numbers in various locations of the state and expressed their unequivocal and unwavering support as they pleaded with Ambassador Yerima Usman Shettima to answer the clarion call, yield to their request and contest for the Kaduna Central Senatorial Seat in the upcoming 2027 elections.
The colossal crowd sang, danced and raised posters, banners, placards and flyers of Yerima Shettima on the streets of Kaduna while chanting solidarity slogans of “RABAGARDAMA, CAPACITY MOVEMENT, YERIMA SHETTIMA IS COMING, PROJECT 2027 and more.
Addressing the media, the group lead, Aliyu Muhammrd stated that “all its executives, members, stakeholders and patrons are fully behind Shettima, ensuring him of all their votes. In addition, the coalition went further to rally other community stakeholders, traditional rulers, and religious leaders to support Yerima Shettima in the upcoming 2027 elections.
“as concerned citizens of Kaduna who are also residents here with a lot of stake, businesses and interests to protect, it is an inescapable truth that only Ambassador Yerima can represent and protect our interests in the state and at the national level.
“It is crystal clear that Shettima is ahead of other candidates vying for the same seat, because since Nigeria’s return to democracy in 1999, only a few politicians like Late Muhammadu Buhari have enjoyed the kind of massive support, love, and solidarity by their people like Amb Yerima Usman Shettima is witnessing now.
“Yerima’s exemplary leadership, his dedication to serve and fight for his people since the days of military not minding the intimidations, arrest and threats to his life and utmost love for sustainance of democracy which has led to fostering a political environment where every citizen’s voice is heard and respected coupled with his honesty and compassion are what earned him the trust and love of the masses.
“We believe if Yerima Shettima agrees to contest for the Kaduna Central Senatorial Seat, a sound, active and vibrant representation is guaranteed for the constituents, one that will introduce motions to address security challenges, improve education and ensure steady and robust economic growth.
