As politicians compete for party tickets to assume leadership in the country’s upcoming elections, a non-governmental organization, Unity Youth Forum, has urged Nigerians to vote for competent politicians ahead of the 2023 general election.
According to the organization’s public relations officer, Mrs. Hadiza Abdullahi, we have worked hard traveling across the various states of the federations to connect with youth while orienting them on the need for voting leaders with competency.
She did, however, note that only credible candidates can save Nigeria from its current predicament, as among the reasons their organizations settle to deliver their missions of ensuring good leadership in the country.
The organizations also charge Nigerians to shun the politics of ethnicity, religion, or zoning as being roundly agitated by dubious political figures in the country whose aim is to disunite the citizens.
However, they also charge political parties to ensure free contests for candidates while holding the primary elections, as that remains a major contributor to good governance.
We are delighted to present candidates from across the various geopolitical zones of the federation from both the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) per the organization’s CO Sunday Asuku.
We have carefully observed the country’s political situation for quite a long time, so we enjoy the right to consider presidential candidates with good records, as presented in our good agenda of achieving a corrupt-free nation with credible and good leadership.
Daily Episode obtained a list of presidential aspirants from the unity youth forum from the likes of Peter Obi, former Nigerian vice president Atiku Abubakar, Nigeria transport minister Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, Kaduna state governor Malam Nasir Ahmed El-rufai, and the River state governor, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, among many others.
They believe situations will return to normal and Nigerians may smile once they vote for a competent leader from the compiled list gathered by the Unity youth forum, Asuka added.
