The All Progressive Congress, APC has welcomed the release of all the school children, teachers and other victims who were abducted from the Government Science College, Kagara, Niger State.
In a statement in Abuja on Saturday and made available to newsmen, the Caretaker National Secretary of the party, Senator John Akpanudoedehe, described the release as heartwarming and a welcome development while appreciating the efforts of government at all levels and non state actors who were instrumental in facilitating the release.
While reiterating the resolve the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration to end attacks in various parts of the country which it described as cowardly, the party called on the security agencies to be proactive and ensure tighter security arrangements around schools in order to forestall future occurences.
