The Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari, on Friday congratulated the Nigerian minister of transportation, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, for bagging a traditional title of “Dan Amana,” in the Daura emirate council.
This is contained in a statement delivered by one of the president’s media aides, Malam Garba Shehu, on Friday in Abuja, which carried the president’s congratulations greeting.
Buhari hailed Rotimi Amaechi for receiving the title as a “clear commitment” to the nation’s varied cultures coexisting together.
He further praised the Minister for “working tirelessly to bring the change we promised Nigerians to fruition,” noting that “the transformation we are experiencing in the transportation industry is a remarkable legacy.”
He also congratulated Malam Nasiru Danu, a senior member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and two-time Director-General of his electoral campaigns, on receiving a chieftaincy title from the Daura Emirate Council.
On Saturday, Danu will be turbaned as Tafida Babba of Daura.
