22 Muslims Killed As Hoodlums Attack Travelers Along Jos-Zaria Road
Unidentified hoodlums attack travelers at Gada-Biyu area along Jos-Zaria road located at Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The attack which occurred at 10 AM claimed the lives of 22 persons after the hoodlums intercepted an 18 seater Bus loaded with Muslims who left Bauchi Saturday morning.
According to DAILY NIGERIAN, the travelers were ambushed while coming back from an Islamic New Year prayer organized by a renowned cleric, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, in Bauchi State.
Witnesses said the travelers, numbering about 80, ran helter-skelter into the bush as the attackers descended on them.
The victim’s corps were deposited at the Plateau Specialist Hospital.
A survivor, Muhammad Ibrahim, said about 50 of his co-travelers had fled into the bush.
