The terrorist groups of armed bandits have launched another fresh attack on the Kaura Namoda–Shikafi road in Zamfara State, northwest Nigeria.
Several people were reportedly burnt beyond recognition as the terrorist group of bandits raided motorists while they kidnapped an unspecified number of people.
However, the Daily Trust claimed that armed bandits, mostly led by Turji, had increased attacks on the Shinkafi-Kura Namoda axis following Nigerian Air Force (NAF) raids that killed his aunt, her husband, and several foot soldiers.
“the terrorist groups of armed bandits had blocked the road between Kwanar Jangeru and the Moriki community, and commuters have since stopped using it due to safety concerns.” “No one can go to retrieve the bodies of the slain passengers on that road,” a resident who did not want to be identified said.
You are aware that the recent NAF air strikes enraged them. It had hit some of Turji’s camps, and many of his family members and boys were evacuated,” a resident named Mansur said.
However, some residents said the armed criminals had stepped up their attacks on people to protest the prolonged closure of the livestock market in Shinkafi town.
Some of them were heard saying they would continue to attack communities and abduct motorists until the livestock market is opened.
When contacted, the police spokesman in the state, SP Muhammad Shehu, said, “Give me some time; I will get back to you.”
