A sociopolitical group, the Restructure Actualisation Movement, on Friday called for a total restructuring of the country in order to help bring down the tension occasioned by the security challenges facing the country.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Friday, the National Chairman of the group, Major General Henry Ayoola (Rtd) stated that it is only restructuring Nigeria through dialogue by various stakeholders that can solve the myriad of problems bedeviling the country at the moment.
He listed the agitations by some parts of the country for resource control, state police and true federalism as some of the issues which if honestly attended to, will go a long in resolving the longstanding distrust amongst various parts of the country.
He implored the National Assembly and the Executive to revisit the 1999 constitution with a view to amend it to serve the yearning of Nigerians.
