The 88-year-old pontiff, Pope Francis, is reported to have experienced his second fall in at least two months, which has prevented him from brushing his forearm, the Vatican announced on Thursday, January 16.
Reports indicated that Pope Francis is now wearing a sling adding to his health challenges faced in recent years,
A statement from the Vatican press office revealed that the incident occurred at the Vatican’s Santa Marta residence, where the pope lives.

Pope Francis Bruises Arm in Fall at Vatican Residence
In December, the Pope had a bruise on his right jaw, reportedly from falling out of bed. Since becoming Pope in 2013, Francis has faced various health issues, including knee and hip pain, bronchitis, and using a wheelchair since 2022.
Despite these health challenges, the Pope has stayed active. In September, he undertook his longest trip as leader of the Catholic Church, visiting four countries and marking a milestone for distance and time travelled during his papacy.
