Meet Professor Matazu New DG/C.E.O Nigerian Meteorological Agency-NiMet
Professor Mansur Wada was born on 8th January, 1974 in Matazu Local Government of Katsina State. He is now 47 years old.
Prof. Matazu is a former lecturer at Isa Kaita College Of Education Dutsin-Ma, where he lectured in the Department of Geography. He also lectured at Ummaru Musa Yar’adua University Katsina, Federal University Dutsin-Ma and Federal University of Technology, Minna.
Professor Matazu holds a PhD in Geography (Applied Meteorology), with membership of the Nigerian Environmental Society, African Forestry Forum, Nigerian Meteorological Society, the Climate Change Network, Nigeria and the renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, Nigeria (REEN). He was, until his appointment, the General Manager, Meteorological Research in the Agency (NiMet).
