Officers from the Lagos police command were badly dragged on camera on Sunday along Ogudu road in mainland Lagos for extorting N30,000 from a civilian.
Debo Adebayo, also known as Mr. Macaroni, was seen, along with others, confronting a police team and challenging them for extorting a young man in a video posted on social media.
Mr. Macaroni was seen asking police officers to return the victim’s money.
“That is a component of the corruption we are discussing. “They took his money,” Mr. Macaroni yelled in the viral video.
The unidentified man told Mr. Macaroni that the the Lagos police officers had threatened him with arrest if he did not hand over his money.
According to the victim, he transferred N30,000 to a police officer. The accused police officers, on the other hand, denied taking money from the victim.
