Bandits Attack Dan-kumeji, Kill 9, Many Injured
Katsina, Northwest Nigeria: Armed bandits terrorizing the northern state of Nigeria has invaded and attack Dan-Kumeji Village in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State on Thursday 26 August Daily Episode reports.
Daily Episode reliably gathered that the bandits invaded and attack Dan-Kumeji village at around 11 pm shooting sporadically that claims the lives of nine-person while many survive with serious injuries.
The survivors were rushed to the Kankara general hospital shortly after the incidents.
Some residents alleged that security operatives were alerted during the attack but they failed to respond until the criminals succeded to their terror attack.
More than 600 farmers in villages across Kankara local government were reportedly shunned farmlands for fear of being kidnapped or killed by the armed bandits amidst a hike in food prices in Nigeria.
Recall that the Katsina state governor, Aminu Bello Masari have urged the Katsina state citizens to acquired weapon for self-defense while president Muhammad Buhari has ordered shoot on sight order for illegal possessors of arms.
Many villages in Kankara, Batsari, Sabua, Safana, Danmusa among others have become under the bandit’s control as the residents flee to IDPs camps for safety.
The Katsina State police command is yet to react to the incident.
