Armed bandits suspected to be kidnappers have invaded the college of Agriculture, Bakura, in Zamfara State, the terrorist group were reportedly killed a police officer while an unspecified number of students were kidnapped during the raid.
DAILY EPISODE gathered that the incident occurred on Sunday night when the terrorist invades the schools shooting sporadically, before whisking the victims away.
Zamfara state has been terrorized by the groups for years, despite spending billions of Naira to offer amnesty to the bandits by the Zamfara state government.
Security operatives engage the bandits in a gun duel but they are overpowered leading to the death of an officer.
When contacted, the State’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Muhammed Shehu confirmed the unfortunate incident.
He was, however, unable to give details of the attack stating that the command would “issue a statement later” according to Daily Post.
