Muslims around the world celebrate Eid-Ftr, otherwise known as Sallah celebrations in northern Nigeria.
The Eid-Ftr celebration marks the end of the Ramadan fasting period in 2022, which typically lasts from dawn to dusk.
In Kaduna, Khalifa Muhammad Sanusi II led a prayer at Murtala Square while preaching peace and unity in a sermon.
However, the governor of Kaduna, Mal Nasir Ahmed El-rufai, Sheikh Ahmed Gumi, and other Nigerians called for peaceful coexistence as well as righteous celebration.
The governor, who solicited citizens’ prayers and contributions for solutions to the insecurity bedeviling Kaduna and other states in the country,

While Sheikh Ahmad Gumi further charges the Muslim faithful with giving arms to the poor, as helping the less privileged is a paramount pillar of Islam, the rich should do the necessary as well as the less privileged too.
According to him, Eid-Ftr is a moment for celebration, unity, and exchanging love with one another.
People should understand the difference between religion and love for one another. Most importantly, we should worship Allah righteously, he added.
