Governor Aminu Bello Masari has received three people rescued by security operatives kidnapped forty three days ago.
Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari who was in company of the secretary to the government of katsina state, Dr Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa was briefed by one of the victims of the kidnapping, a 40 year old Abdullahi Muhammad who hails from Nassarawa village in kankiya local government area.
The other two victims of the kidnapping are one 29 year old Ukashatu Badamasi and a 17 year old Sa’adatu Muhammad, all of Nassarawa village in kankiya local government area.
Abdullahi Muhammad told Governor Masari that he was at the den of the kidnappers in Zamfara forests to present the ransom of an old woman kidnapped along with Sa’adatu Mohammed but the kidnappers released the old woman and held him hostage.
The victim further narrated that the kidnappers do not pray nor fast throughout the forty three days of their captivity adding that they stated that”for a male person to die and enter paradise is an act of cowardice”.
He said every night, the kidnappers hold parties, stressing that during such merriment, they are always casting aspersions on the chief of Army staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Brutal.
Abdullahi Muhammad told Governor Masari that the security people that released showed expertise in handling guns against the kidnappers which led to the killing of two of the captors while the third among the three guarding them in the forest escaped.
He said that they were unchained and brought back by the security operatives.
He expressed gratitude to the government for the rescue mission, which secured their release, saying before that they have lost hope in coming back to Nassarawa village alive.
