The world football governing body, Federation International de Football Association, FIFA, bars some English premier league clubs from selecting Brazilian footballers in their playing squads from September 10th to 14th.
According to reports, the clubs denied the Brazilian players the opportunity to play for their national teams in World Cup qualifiers against Argentina.
The clubs affected are Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Leeds United, and Manchester City, respectively. The players are Thiago Silva, Ederson, Alisson, Fabinho, Fred, Peru, Ederson, Roberto Firminho, and Gabriel Jesus.
The restrictions by FIFA will force the Brazilian players to miss weekend Premier League fixtures as well as the UEAFA Champions League.
