The Nigerian anti-graft agency, Economic and financial crime commission (EFCC) has confined a property belonging to the former governor of Kano state and the leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso.
The Property is sighted along Miller Road in the Kano metropolis.
Kano state is one of the Nigerian commercial centers and the most populous located in the northwest region.
EFCC sealed off the property belonging to Kwankwaso after a petition by members of the family of former National security adviser, Ismaila Gwarzo.
The commission alleged that kwankwaso buys the property from one Abdullahi Muazu Gwarzo (Baba Gandu), a former MD of the defunct REMASAB in Kano but Abdullahi refused to remit the fund to the family.
A two-term governor of Kano, Kwankwaso represented Kano Central Senatorial District at the upper legislative chamber of the National Assembly between 2011 and 2015.
