The District Head of Kura, in Kano State, Alhaji Abubakar Tijjani, has charged the indigenes of the local government to be united as well as maintain peace not just in Kano State but the nation in general.
The District Head, who is also the Dokajen Rano, gave the charge at the annual Kaduna indigenes of Kura residents’ meeting.
He said unity, cooperation, and sincerity of purpose should be their guiding principles towards developing their present place of abode and original hometown.
According to the District Head, the people of Kura are in dire need of the support and contributions of all indigenes towards uplifting the area at all levels.
Also addressing the meeting, the Jarman of Kura, Alhaji Hayatuddeen Atiku Auwal, advised the indigenes of Kura to be self-reliant at all times and be supportive.
He also urged them to embrace commercial and business activities as well as skills acquisition activities to fend for themselves and positively contribute to societal development.
Hayatuddeen Auwal explained that the annual meeting of the Kura indigenes in Kaduna state is targeted at uniting them to support various developmental activities.
In a remark, the member representing Kura, Garun Mallam, and Madobi Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Kabir Idris, advised the Kura indigenes, especially the youths, to unite themselves and shun anti-social activities.
He cautioned them to steer clear of hard drugs and other illicit substances for the improvement of their health.
In his contribution to the Azuran Kura, Alhaji Garba Labaran called on Kura indigenes residing in Kaduna and other states to inculcate the habit of supporting their home local government to promote development.
He advised all Kura indigenes in Kaduna state to endeavor to register their names with the Kura Indigenes Development Association for proper identification and record keeping.
