The website of the Central Bank of Nigeria, www.cbn.gov.ng has been hacked and shut down by Anonymous hackers.
The action was taken as the legend hackers ramp up cyberattacks on Nigerian government Internet assets, to challenge the government over bad governance, demand police reform and also show solidarity with patriotic Nigerians on various streets across the country protesting for a better nation, DAILY EPISODE reports.
The hackers confirmed the attack on the Nigerian government banker in a post on its Twitter account on Friday night, October 16. See the tweet below;
