Zamfara, Northwest Nigeria: Unknown gunmen suspected to be armed bandits terrorizing the Northern States of Nigeria have lunch a fresh attack on Dadah village in Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State Failing to Pay to Impose Levy on them by the arm bandits
The bandits attack the village on Thursday, August 26 at around 11 pm living one dead and seven persons were abducted
Zamfara State is among the most terrorized State by the armed group despite several peace deals and granting amnesty to the deadly group by the state government.
Daily Episode gathered that the bandits attack the villages for failing to pay the impose levy on them by the bandits.
Some villages like Gidan Zago have already paid N800,000 to impose on them while the bandits have now imposed N9 million on Takurawa, N2 million on Dadah, and N2.5 million on Gidan Shaho according to today.ng
Villages that are not capable to pay the levy usually work on the bandit’s farm for fear of attack.
The Nigerian government has been issuing warnings to the bandits but the killings are counting for the worst.
The zamfara state police command is yet to respond to the incident while filling this report
