Terrorists kidnapped a monarch in Kaduna earlier today, just hours after the Nigerian lawmakers passes a bill prohibiting Nigerians from paying ransoms to rescue their loved ones from terrorist groups of armed bandits.
The monarch, Mr. Ayuba Dodo Dakolo, who is the Dagacin Rijana Fadan Achi, was kidnapped in his farm located at Kurmin Dakolo in the Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
A family source disclosed to Daily Episode that the terrorists invaded the community on motorbikes in their numbers while shooting sporadically before heading to kidnap Mr. Ayuba, alongside many others from their farm.
They have demanded money, which we cannot afford to pay. We pleaded with them to not harm him while telling them we didn’t have that amount.
However, the bandits demanded tramadol worth N50, 000 along with petrol, mortar bike tires, engine oil, recharge cards, food items, and bread worth hundreds of thousands.
The items on the list were contained in a compiled list sent to us by the bandits. He added
Kaduna state has become a terrorist den for the number of daily attacks on communities, killing and kidnapping innocent people, with a significant rise in displaced persons flooding into the state metropolis daily.
While filing these reports, Nigerian police authorities have yet to confirm the incidents, as Daily Episode’s multiple calls to the Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Muhammad Jalinge’s lines were not answered.
