The abducted Muslim worshipers in Jibia local governments area of Katsina state has been rescued by a combine team of Nigerian police, military and local vigilante.
The bandits who comes in numbers surrounded the mosque while shooting sporadically before the abduction in early Monday morning.
Police spokesman in Katsina, SP Gambo, confirmed the incidents to newsmen as he disclosed the success in rescuing 30 out of the 40 abducted worshipers.
To the developments, police conducted a headcount to get the exact figure as they confirmed 10 persons were missing although some might have been escaped.
