Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has imposed a 24-hour curfew in Jema’a and Kaura Local Government Areas.
A similar law has already been enacted in Kauru and Zangon Kataf Local Government Areas to quell the unrest in the area.

The governor made the remarks on Friday night following a militant attack in Jema’a and Maraban Kagoro areas of Kaduna State Local Government Area.
In a message posted on Twitter, the governor also said that since 2017, security forces have been deployed in southern Kaduna following the construction of a military base in Kafanchan.
At the request of security agencies, the Kaduna State Government has extended to Jema’a and Kaura LGAs the 24-hour curfew that is in force in Kauru and Zangon-Kataf LGAs, with immediate effect. This is to help contain violence, enforce order and protect lives
