In a bid to curtail mass failure, Hon. Jamilu Yahaya Kankara, better known as J. Man, is set to sponsor free computer-based training for Kankara local government students.
The training is designed to prepare students for the JAMB Computer Based Tests (CBT) that are currently being used for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME).
The initiative is part of the regular intervention program to support the education of students in the Kankara local government.
In an interview, J. Man revealed that this is part of his community service with no political motivation, but rather a necessary step to train students to achieve their desired dream, considering the number of dropouts and students struggling to get into tertiary institutions.
Therefore, all interested students are advised to obtain the training form for free at the Abdu Matasa shop in Kankara local government, where students will also be given manuals and printed past questions after the training.
Given that we have provisions for more space that will accommodate more students as we have agreed to collaborate with both Uncle D’s nursery and primary school and the Kankara Pragmatic International College of Health Technology, respectively, he added.
Recall that Hon. Jamilu Yahaya Kankara has contested for a seat representing Kankara constituency in the Katsina State House of Assembly in the 2019 general election under the opposition People’s Democratic Party.
He, however, enjoyed all the students’ utilizing the opportunity to be law-abiding citizens while attending the training.
