I’d Rather Resign Or Lose Votes Than Denounce Other Africans-Julius Sello Malema
Julius Sello Malema, a South African politician and President of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), has reaffirmed his stance on the treatment of people from other African countries who live in South Africa. He would rather resign or lose votes than denounce his fellow black brothers, he claims.
At a recent conference, someone said to me, “If you want us to vote for you in 2024, you must abandon this thing about foreigners; I’m prepared to go home and I’m fine.” I will never stand on a platform to condemn Africans. I’m not going to do it. Let them go if it means more votes. “I’m ready to go home.”
“To take a platform to gratify the white minority by pointing a finger at my other fellow black brothers?” he said. That’s not something I’m going to do. I see myself as a Nigerian, a Zimbabwean, a Congolese, or a Ghanaian. “
“The EFF could commission internal studies to determine how much this is affecting the EFF, but I’m not ready.” I’m not willing to get on a stage and declare that foreigners must return home. I’d prefer not to be South Africa’s president. At home, I’ll be the President of my children. ” He went on to say,
Julius Malema went on to claim that he would gladly quit as the leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters because of his sympathy for other Africans. “I will resign for the sake of Africans.” I’m going to quit for the sake of black people. “It’s not a problem for me,” he stated.
He stressed that the EFF’s major goal is African unity, which he believes cannot be achieved through a divisive worldview. “Please be aware that the position on Africans has not changed. It’s a dead end. We want to see Africa unified, and we can’t do that by splitting it. He ultimately stated, “We want one Africa, one currency, one President, and one military.”
